What Is the RedDrop Ball Rebound Tester?
The RedDrop is a compact, app-based rebound testing device developed for sports surface evaluation. It measures ball rebound automatically, removing the need for visual assessment and improving measurement consistency across testing environments.
The system complies with FIFA Test Method 2015-01, FIFA Test Method 2024-02, and EN 12235 standards, supporting accurate rebound evaluation for artificial turf and sports surface testing.

How the RedDrop System Works
A ball is dropped from a height of 2 metres using the RedDrop device. The impact and rebound sounds are detected through the smartphone microphone connected to the application.
The app performs acoustic analysis to calculate rebound height based on the time measured between the two sound peaks. Test data are automatically saved in the application and can be exported as a .csv file for review, reporting, or sharing.
This automated process improves testing efficiency while reducing operator subjectivity during rebound evaluation.
