Pastimes
My other main interest currently is Te Araroa Trail as it passes through the Manawatū region. Te Araroa Trail is a 3000km hike the length of NZ from Cape Reinga to Bluff. www.teararoa.org.nz. About 2000 people complete the TA thru hike each year and thousands more walk sections. I am Chair of the local Te Araroa Manawatū Trust. We are kaitiaki of the 120km of Trail as it passes through the Manawatū. This is a much more active interest than sitting at a computer marking! So a good balance.
