The infiltration rate test measures how quickly water is able to penetrate the soil and reach the roots of the turfgrass. The compaction test measures the density of the soil and can indicate whether the turfgrass is experiencing compaction, which can negatively impact its health and playability. The organic matter test measures the amount of organic matter in soil, which is important for soil health and water-holding capacity.
The pH test measures the acidity or alkalinity of the soil. And finally, the nutrient levels test measures the levels of important nutrients such as nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium in soil which are essential for turfgrass growth.
The Details: The international governing body for golf is the International Golf Federation (IGF), which is responsible for organizing and promoting international golf tournaments and for setting the rules and regulations for the sport.
In addition to the IGF, there are also national governing bodies for it in many countries around the world, such as the United States Golf Association (USGA) in the United States and the Royal and Ancient Golf Club of St. Andrews (R&A) in Scotland.
