Hockey

The Hockey Game:

Hockey is a team sport played on a grass or artificial turf field with players using sticks to hit a small, hard ball into the opponent’s goal. The game is played by two teams, each consisting of six players including a goalkeeper. The object of the game is to score more goals than the opposing team.

The Tests: There are various tests used to certify equipment and facilities for use in field hockey. These tests include measurements of the hardness and durability of field of it sticks, as well as the protective qualities of field hockey helmets and padding. The playing surface must also be maintained to ensure it is smooth and even, with no bumps or other irregularities that could affect the play of the game.

The Details: The FIH is a member of the International Olympic Committee and works closely with other international and national governing bodies to promote the growth and development of the field of it around the world. The organization is responsible for setting the rules and regulations for the sport, as well as organizing international tournaments and competitions.
