World Rugby Certifications
WR (World Rugby) is the international governing body for rugby union and rugby sevens. It was founded in 1886 and has its headquarters in Dublin, Ireland. World Rugby is responsible for organizing and promoting international rugby competitions, as well as developing and enforcing the rules of the game.
World Rugby offers various certifications for rugby-related products and services, including:
World Rugby Regulation 22: World Rugby Regulation 22 sets the standards for rugby balls, including size, shape, weight, and materials. Rugby balls that meet the requirements of Regulation 22 can be used in international rugby competitions.
World Rugby’s Artificial Turf Performance Standard: World Rugby’s Artificial Turf Performance Standard sets the standards for rugby turf systems, including shock absorption, rotational resistance, and ball-surface interaction. Turf systems that meet the requirements of the standard can be used in international rugby competitions.
